About this blog.

Ok I’m throwing up some points here to keep in mind when reading my blog. Hopefully they will help make the blog a little more cohesive.

1. I’m not a professional writer. I did poorly in English during high school. I have a good vocabulary, but that doesn’t mean I use it well. Practice makes perfect, but they never said how much.
2. I’m gay. I don’t think that completely defines me as a person, but it’s a big part of my life and a good part of my personal story. I also like for people to know whom they’re dealing with. If you’re homophobic we probably wouldn’t get along unless you’re looking for a trick and in that case the going rate is…
3. I’m very liberal. I have my own point of view that has been defined by my life experiences thus far. I try to look outside the box and empathize with other peoples’ point of view. I think that’s what makes me liberal.
4. Most of my posts will come off of the top of my head. This means I am probably going to post some things with less thought than a professional writer. Refer back to talking point 1.
5. My goal with this blog is to make some new friends, become closer with current ones, learn some stuff, buff up my communication skills, and generally have my own soap box.
6. Get a discussion going with people in a positive way. I haven’t had a prolific online presence, but I have an idea of how all this works. I think I can take the haters, but I also haven’t ever had a reason for anyone to hate me.
7. I have a very obscure sense of humor. I also believe in free speech to a pretty extreme extent. I don’t feel that the world owes me anything or that I owe them, I do however have a desire to have a beneficial contribution to the world as a whole.
8. I’m extremely unexpectedly frequently alarmingly paradoxical. I think.
